How to create an additional shipment for an order
Order too big for one box? Create an extra shipment and the order gets a second label with its own tracking code — using the same delivery method and address as the original parcel.
- 1
Open the order from the Orders page.
- 2
On the Shipping card, click Add Shipment to open the Shipments window. (Packing right now? The Shipments button in the Pick and Pack top bar opens the same window.)
- 3
Click Extra Shipment. There's no form to fill — the shipment is created immediately with the order's current delivery method and address.
- 4
The new shipment appears in the table with the type Additional, its own status, and its own Tracking code.
- 5
Click Download to save its label PDF — or Print to send it to your label printer via PrintKrab.
- 6
Label both parcels and hand them to the carrier together.
Good to know
- The order needs a delivery method first — if the Shipping card still says Set shipping method, assign one before adding shipments.
- Extra shipments always reuse the order's method and address. To ship a parcel somewhere else — or with a different carrier — create a custom shipment instead.
- Extra labels don't print automatically during Pick and Pack — download or print them from the Shipments window.
- Shipments can't be deleted from the window, so create extras only when you need them.
- Store pick-up orders don't have an Add Shipment button.
