How to price shipping by parcel weight (weight bands)
Instead of one flat price, a shipping method can charge by parcel weight using tiered weight bands — e.g. up to 1 kg costs €2.99, up to 5 kg costs €4.99, and above that €7.99.

Open the carrier's configuration page (Shipping → click the carrier) and select the country on the General tab.

In the Shipping methods table, click the chevron on the method to open Price by parcel weight.

Click Add weight band to add a tier.

Set each band's upper limit in kg — the next tier starts where this one ends, with no gaps or overlaps. The top band is open-ended (and above).

Set each band's price, and use the per-band toggle to control whether the method shows in checkout for parcels in that weight range.

Use the X button to remove a band, and Back to shipping methods to return.
Good to know
- Weight-band changes save immediately as you make them — no page Save needed.
- When weight bands exist, they determine the customer price instead of the flat price.
- Parcel weight comes from the order items' unit weights — you can edit those on the order page.
