How to create a custom shipment (without an order)
Need a label for a parcel that isn't a store order - a replacement, a sample, documents, a supplier return? The Shipments tab creates standalone shipments with your connected carriers and gives you the label straight away.
- 1
- 2
Click Create shipment.
- 3
Delivery: choose the Destination country (it starts on the country you used last, or your organization's own country), then the Carrier and its Service, such as Courier or Parcel locker. For a locker, search by locker name, address or city and pick one.
- 4
Receiver: enter the Full name, Phone, Email, Address (plus an optional apartment or suite line), City and Postal code - and State / province for countries that need one, such as the US or Canada.
- 5
Parcel: describe the Contents and enter the Weight in grams and the Value with its Currency. For a parcel that leaves the EU, set the Export reason (Carrier default, Sale, Return or Gift). A Note (optional) is printed on the shipping label.
- 6
Click Create shipment. The Shipment created screen shows the tracking number - or says it appears once the carrier confirms the shipment - with Print label and Download label. Click Done, or Create another to start the next one with the same country, carrier and service.
Good to know
- The Carrier choice lists only the carriers with a delivery method switched on for that country on the Delivery tab. None yet? The form says so, with an Open Delivery settings button.
- The tab lists each shipment with its receiver, destination, contents, tracking number, date and status - Label ready, Registered, Getting label, Failed or Voided. Filter by All shipments, Label ready, In progress or Failed, or search by receiver, tracking number, city or shipment number. The Print label and Download label icons on a row reprint or save its label.
- Click a shipment to open its details. Create similar opens the form filled in with the same receiver, address and parcel - handy when the same person needs another parcel.
- If the carrier doesn't accept a shipment, the form says so and the shipment is listed as Failed, with no label. Open it and click Fix and try again to correct the details and send it again.
- Print label sends the label to your label printer via PrintKrab (PRO); it is disabled while no printer is connected. Download label always works.
- The tab shows your latest 200 shipments.
- Custom shipments used to have their own page behind a New Shipment button; old links to it now open this tab.
