How to set up return shipping for each country
Return labels are created with the carrier you choose for the customer's country, picked on a world map in the returns settings. Until a country has a return carrier and method, OrderKrab will not create a return label for orders shipped there.
- 1
In the sidebar, click Returns, open the Settings tab and scroll to the Shipping configuration card. The map shows which countries are already set up, and the counter above it reads N countries configured.
- 2
Click a country on the map. A panel slides in from the right showing that country's settings and a Configured or Not configured badge.
- 3
Pick the Return carrier. The dropdown lists only your active carriers that have a shipping method enabled for that country — if you instead see No shipping configured for this country, enable the country on one of your shipping methods first.
- 4
Pick the Return method — locker or courier. A carrier without a method can't be saved; the field shows Pick a method for this carrier. until you choose one.
- 5
If a Return service dropdown appears, pick a service. It only shows for carriers whose rates are calculated at checkout: those returns have no delivery product to reuse, so the service has to be pinned here.
- 6
Click Save. The country is marked as configured on the map and the counter goes up. Repeat for every country you accept returns from.
Good to know
- Despite its label, leaving Return carrier on Use the delivery carrier leaves the country unconfigured. Approving a return from it fails with Returns from XX are not configured. Pick a return carrier and method for it under Returns → Settings → Shipping configuration.
- Changing the carrier clears the method and the service, because both belong to the carrier you picked — set them again before saving.
- The country that matters is the one the order was shipped to, and the settings apply to your whole organization, not per store.
- Only the button saves. Closing the panel, pressing Esc or clicking outside it discards what you changed.
- Auto-return labels that go out inside the parcel are a separate, older feature configured per carrier under Shipping — this map does not affect them.
