How to get a shipping label for an order
Every fulfillment starts with a label. OrderKrab generates labels through your connected carriers, and there are several ways to get one — pick the route that fits the moment: a single order, a whole batch, a guided packing session, an extra parcel, or a shipment with no order at all.

Initiate a single order. Open a Pending Fulfillment order and click Initiate Shipment — the label is generated and the order becomes Being Fulfilled. Then open the … menu and, under Labels, click Download Label (saves the PDF) or Print Label (prints via PrintKrab). Labels stay available while the order is Being Fulfilled, Fulfilled, or In Transit to Store.

Initiate in bulk. On the Orders page, select several Pending Fulfillment orders, click Initiate Shipments, and confirm with Initiate. Then re-select the orders and click More → Download Labels to save every label in one combined PDF.

Pack with Pick and Pack (PRO). During a Pick and Pack session the label prints automatically on your label printer once the order's items are confirmed — no clicks needed.

Extra parcels and returns — the Shipments window. On the order page's Shipping card, click Add Shipment: Extra Shipment creates an additional outbound label and Create Return creates a return label, each with its own Download and Print button. Use this window only for extra parcels and returns — for a regular order's label, don't come here; use the Initiate Shipment / Download Label / Print Label actions on the order page, or the bulk Download Labels action on the Orders page (as above).

Without an order. For a parcel that isn't a store order, click New Shipment on the Shipping page to create a custom shipment, then download or print its label from the Create Shipments table.
Good to know
- Download vs Print: Download always saves a PDF you can print anywhere; Print sends the label straight to your label printer via PrintKrab and requires the PRO plan with a printer connected. On the LABELS plan you'll see Download buttons only.

- The mobile app shows shipments and tracking, but generating, downloading, and printing labels is done in the web app.
- A carrier manifest is not a shipping label — it's the end-of-day handover document listing the parcels you give to the carrier.
- When a parcel appears in the carrier's own portal depends on the carrier. Each carrier registers a shipment in its own system at a different point — some the moment you initiate it, others only once it's collected — so the same parcel can show up in one carrier's portal earlier than in another's. What's consistent across every connected carrier: once you click Initiate Shipment, OrderKrab creates the shipment and the label is ready to download.
