How to troubleshoot printing problems
Most printing problems come down to PrintKrab not running, the browser blocking it, a driver issue, or an uncalibrated printer. Here's the checklist.
- 1
Check the sidebar indicators. PrintKrab: Offline means the desktop app isn't running - click the badge and press Open PrintKrab, or start PrintKrab on the computer with the printer. Label Printer: Offline means no printer was found - check the cable and power.
- 2
PrintKrab: Blocked in browser means the browser won't let OrderKrab talk to PrintKrab on this computer. Click the icon left of the address bar, open Site settings, set Apps on device to Allow, and reload the page. Allow PrintKrab in your browser means the browser is asking right now - click Allow in the prompt next to the address bar.
- 3
Active, update available means your PrintKrab is outdated. Click the badge, press Download PrintKrab, and run the installer over the current version.
- 4
In Settings → Printer setup, click Refresh list to re-scan for printers.
- 5
If the printer prints garbage or misaligns labels, calibrate it: open Resources → Label Printer calibration videos, select your model (TSC DA210, Zebra ZD220, Godex G500, Xprinter XP-420B), and follow the video.
- 6
If the printer isn't detected at all, reinstall its driver via Resources → Official Label Printer drivers (TSC, Zebra, Godex, Xprinter links).
- 7
Run a Test print from the printer's settings to confirm the fix.
- 8
Barcode scanner acting up? Resources → Qoltec scanner factory reset QR code shows a QR you scan to reset a Qoltec scanner to factory defaults.
Good to know
- During Pick and Pack, a label error dialog offers Retry, Skip Order, and Exit to Dashboard so a printer hiccup never blocks your whole queue.
